Stacey is a graduate of the San Francisco Academy for dog trainers. After graduating, she earned a training certificate specializing in dog/dog aggression. Stacey currently works at the SPCA as a dog trainer teaching classes, counseling adopters, rehabilitating dogs and performing behavior evaluations on potential candidates for the SPCA adoption center. She continues to work with dog reactivity with shelters dogs as well as the public. She developed and currently teaches the Growly Dog series which are classes for leash reactive dogs, with her friend and colleague, Kim Moeller. Along with her work at the shelter, Stacey developed and teaches a class for adolescent dogs and a shy dog class at Pawsitive Tails in San Francisco. Stacey has created many of her classes based on personal experience. She has spent the last 5 years rehabilitating her own shy dog as well as living through the terrible teen’s phase of her leash reactive dog, Roo. Her family consists of 2 dogs and a cat. Stacey and her high energy, husky mix Roo! are currently competing in obedience and rally and preparing to enter their first agility match. Her Credentials:
